The Music
Industry Is

The Problem
Three Groups.
One Machine.
For Fans
You came for music. You got a data profile. Every search, every skip, every late night playlist — logged, analyzed, and sold to advertisers. On free Spotify, you are the product. The music is the bait.
For Artists
$0.003 per stream. Your music trains the AI designed to replace you. Session musicians get nothing. In Canada, Spotify is fighting in court to avoid paying hundreds of millions owed to Canadian artists. You built your career in someone else's building.
For Industry
Brands, managers, and labels still building exclusively on streaming are building on sand. The platforms own the audience, the data, and the relationship. One algorithm change and your artist disappears. The underground is the future. Get in early.
"$0.003 per stream.
And they keep the training data."

I.N.D.I.E.
What We're
Demanding.
Rights
Strict AI licensing laws. Mandatory labeling of AI-generated tracks. Protection for Canadian artists from having their work scraped without consent or compensation.
Ownership
Streaming platforms legally required to pay royalties to all recording artists on a track. Session musicians built the music too. They deserve to be paid for every stream.
Artist Rep
Building the infrastructure that doesn't need a platform's permission to exist. Artist-led. Community-owned. Decentralized. The underground already exists — it just needs a flag.

"I believe artists deserve to own their audience, their data, and their income. I stand with the I.N.D.I.E. movement in demanding fair pay, AI protections, and a music economy built for humans — not algorithms."
